Tech companies like Google and Meta made cuts to DEI programs in 2023 after big promises in prior years
Some companies have laid off DEI staffers and leaders of diverse employee resource groups, downsized learning and development programs, and cut budgets for external DEI groups by as much as 90% in 2023, sources told CNBC.
NYU professor Jonathan Haidt is quitting an academic group requiring a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) statement, stating, “As scholars I believe we have a fiduciary duty to the truth.”
@Qpml+1g0KzYfV - Better working conditions at MetLife would mean just plain ordinary work.
Take away all the "My Green Impact", and "Bring your whole self to work" and litter pickup, tree planting and g-y parade feature articles, DIE, and just plain work with each other.
You don't have to care about my life style, and I hate to break it to you, but I don't care about yours. But we can work with each other.
But no, lefties can't have that because for them, work is filling the void that churches and community used to.
The pendulum is swinging back, and we'll see who is "triggered".
Imagine if you spent this much energy fighting better working conditions at Met. That would be a good use of this energy
Woke isn't treating people with respect, in fact, it's just the opposite.
It is more respectful to be blind to a persons characteristics that are not relevant to the job.
Y'all sure are triggered over trying to treat people with respect. You ok?
There’s a new alphabet term that’s been popping up more and more in business news; it’s ESG, which stands for “environmental, social, and governance.” In other words, woke companies get listed by the SEC as ESG — and Tesla has just been dropped from the index.
The world’s leading maker of electric vehicles has been cut from S&P’s index for environmentally conscious investors due to flaws in its business conduct and, ironically, low-carbon strategy.
A California judge has ruled that the state's 2018 law mandating that companies name at least one person who self-identifies as a woman to a seat on the corporate board violates the state constitution's equal protection clause.
Hail the new fight to stop burning corporate cash on pushing woke idiocy
Kudos to Ed Rensi for calling out corporate America’s bull. The McDonald’s ex-CEO told Fox Business that companies have “no business” being in politics as he announced the launch of The Boardroom Initiative to fight woke corporate policies.
“Corporations have no business being on the right or the left because they represent everybody there and their sole job is to build equity for their investors,” the creator of the McNugget said.
Absolutely. Asinine “anti-racist” diversity training (which actually demands racist thinking) and other trendy products of corporate HR woke-scolds don’t serve the workers, the shareholders or anyone else.
The initiative’s members will use their shares in companies that are going down this road to raise the issue at stockholder meetings, forcing votes to end the madness.
It’s an uphill battle: McKinsey consultants estimate that corporate investment in “racial justice initiatives” has topped $200 billion. The forces burning shareholder money on cockamamie nonsense won’t give up their gravy train without a fight.
LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles judge ruled Friday that California’s landmark law mandating that corporations diversify their boards with members from certain racial, ethnic or LGBT groups is unconstitutional.
SEC's planned new 'woke' rules creating cost concerns for business leaders
Top investor says 'ESG reporting is so vague, there’s really no way to quantify it'
Why do I care what professors get paid?
The point isn't what professors get paid, it's what they get paid relative to DIE employees.
I found it humorous that the last mandatory training made you choose an avatar… but only provided two options, white woman, black male. Not too “inclusive” to make someone “identify” as one of two things, of which I’m neither.
Points given for the trainings that include many nationalities, accents, gender… but forcing you to choose something you’re not, well, just hypocritical of the inclusive stance.
What happened to “bring your self to work”?
Since when did DEI become a non white vs. white campaign? greater than a race war.
OP can no longer beat the RTO COVID doom and gloom drum and has moved on to DEI.
Listen, if you don't like people that aren't white, that's on you. We're on this board to talk about MetLife stuff.
If you want to post crazy-a-s sh-t, save it for US All Business on Yammer.
Why do I care what professors get paid? Let me know when you have news about Met handing out better salaries.
Truly the wheels are falling off western civilization. DIE, not DEI.
Heard from more than one person that our DEI leader is not to be messed with. Only talks to those she deems important or worth her time. No hi, no how are you, no eye contact with the peons.
Yawn.
