Brandon is signaling he wants (er big business wants) everyone to return to the office before the midterms, well at least until they can off shore all your jobs. Rah Rah let’s bring all the manufacturing jobs back to US but hush hush as we send all the engineering and IT jobs off shore.
Sounds eerily similar to Rah Rah every one should have a college education, let’s shut down VoTech in high schools, d-mb down college curriculum, and get all the college students in debt up to their eyeballs, then they are slaves to their debt and can be controlled by big business, until their jobs are off shored.

Oh and BTW what perils have recent world events demonstrated about having IT and data located off shore?

Wow! It wasn't very long ago that the Dearborn campus was under going a 10 billion dollar transformation.
Another announcement to raise the stock price? Maybe.
One thing is certain Ford will get much smaller, especially when its producing more E'vs than Ice vehicles. Time to outsource everything, and just put the Ford badge on it. Pretty soon ev components and BIW be modular, and cookie cutter design/build.
Hey how's that service economy doing for ya? Gee global economy sure is great. Cheap wallmart, and Home depot prices are great until you don't have any income.

Oh I don't doubt one bit the previous poster's 15,000 number. Slashing that amount of heads/resources is the only way Ford can resolve the awful quality and disastrous launches.

It will be a twofer, save the costs of employing all those people AND saving money with vastly improved quality and flawless launches.

moving the deck chairs on the Titanic. Keep making changes so it looks like progress. Financially Ford is hemorrhaging playing games with investment valuations. Horrible quality and recall costs on ICE side and EV will be no better. Is that an iceberg ahead???

It’s got to be at least 15,000 employees. Think about the cost of YOUR salary and benefits, let’s say $200,000 per year. Divide $3 Billion by that = 15,000.

Door #1 EV
Door #2 ICE
Door #3 Non Vaccers
Door #4 Work from Homer's who Claim they are more Productive?
Door #5 Contractors do-g work that Ford Employees should be doing but cannot!

The future of Ford is Door 1 and 2. The rest, so long and thanks for your service!

Yes, that was announced yesterday at the town hall, too. 3 billion structural costs to come out of Ford Blue. They were cagey, they did not say what year, but would safe to assume if not this year then by 2nd qtr next for sure.

Structural costs are not with development programs, they are year to year costs usually tied to people, places, and things. So yes, think the usual suspects are present: more people layoffs, reducing money spent year over year on equipment/software/etc, maybe closing more buildings and/or factories.

The big picture has been presented to us all, and now the fun part begins. Next we get to find out how it will impact the various skill teams and smaller individual teams.

Only bigger, and more cutthroat. He basically told everyone to stab each other in the back because they want everyone to compete against each other.
