Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Blue shoes.

Wonder how many people know that got taxed for the blue shoes we got. Prize value $97.23 on your pay stub. Wouldn’t pay $5 for those tennis ball shoes🤣

F*** them shoes, I see a whole bunch on ebay for sale 😂. Would of rather have them just give us the 100$ instead,of course they would've taxed that though.

Reading these posts I can only remind you to READ THE EMAIL an information POSTED on AMP.
The COMPANY is paying the tax on the shoes just as it does for the additional cost of your PLUS MEMBERSHP
If you can not find this information check with your leadership team.
Thanks for the free shoes. A great gift for all.

There is NOTHING COMFORTABLE about these blue Sam’s shoes. That’s comical to even suggest such a thing.

@7ict+1fvLoRAF, let me guess, you wear nike or jordans? you buy shoes for the look or fashion rather than comfort. all birds have a rep for making comfortable shoes without all the loud colors you see other brands.

I don’t think most people realized HOW UGLY they were going to be when they finally got them. I gave my shoe size, but didn’t realize they were going to be the most hideous and repulsive looking shoes I’ve ever seen. Our managers don’t even wear them. They’re gruesome!

No one was forced to give their shoe size I was asked I politely said I didn’t want them as I would not wear them and my club manager said okay. I’m not wasting their money on something im not going to wear

@1ijy+1fvLoRAF, managers at our club did ask. no problem with that. you stated that they were "begging" for your shoe size. I say bs. I believe you when you say they asked everyone. but begging & asking are 2 different things. So is your & you're.
I still say no way that you told a manager you were going to use them to clean up dog $*it.

I love mine. Feels like walking on air. Thank you Sam's Club for your gift. I understand you tax us for all gifts but it would have been nice for you to be heads up with associates. We was only ask our shoe size. No one ever said you are receiving a gift and you will be tax on it.
We should have been more informed.

At least the tax money went to the government. I'd throw both shoes at Putin.

The shoes we got are nice. I wear them to work. They are comfortable. It's sad that some people are so ungrateful. Some people have no shoes and would be glad to get them. Grow up.

@truth serum. And also for your information managers also said they really didn't care what we did with them they just wanted everyone to order a pair. So maybe next time get your facts straight. Just because the store you're at the managers wasn't like that doesn't mean every store is like that.

@truthserum maybe if you actually worked at the store I do Maybe you would of seen all the managers running around trying to get everyone's shoe size, never said I was the only one at my store who didn't want them. Honestly more than 50% of the associates tried turning them down but the managers kept giving the excuse we should really except them because of being a gift. And yeah I'm really trying to hard to sound bad a** over a pair of shoes we get taxed for!!!... Must be your jealous or something.

They work GREAT for cleaning up dog s***...Only thing I use them for. I told my manager I didn't want them and that's what they would be used for when they kept begging me for my shoe size.
