Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Has anyone in POLS had merit convos yet?

Curious to hear about what Pearson is doing regarding merit this year. With the restructure and closing of offices, not sure what to expect but I've never seen anything above 2.5% in POLS. With inflation on the rise, if they don't compensate well, I foresee a lot more people leaving. It's sad that these leaders can't see the writing on the wall.

Not in POLS but 3% max and you are lucky if you get that. Not everyone does. Some received 2 % and I wish I were joking.

If you're comfortable sharing, disclose what you learned generally.

I'm not in POLS but consider that although merit may be higher, the total sum may remain the same. Inflation is over 7%. Do you think that you will receive anything close to that? If not, then everyone is receiving a pay decrease.

KB said they will have a larger merit raise this year, but I am not holding my breath. I foresee the standard 2%. I know many of my colleagues are jumping ship.

Last I saw your division under-performed. Why do you deserve a raise? This isn’t a government job.

There’s going to be mass migration from Pearson once AIP hits

Haven't heard a word about it yet and we usually have them by now. Doesn't usually take affect till April though.
