I refuse to stay a minute over my time unless you're going to pay me for it. That whole "we're all in this together, help out your coworkers, show some loyalty" cr-p no longer works on me. I'm sick and tired of being treated like cr-p and then expected to feel like we're all one big, happy family. Sc--w that. I'm not doing it anymore.

The KY/ NC toxic culture cost the company a lot of good Booksellers. The bad ones just stayed , becoming the majority.
@1vz. In California locking the employees in as you described is illegal. Both Walmart and Target lost lawsuits by doing it.
Not only New England ! Down here in TN we were treated horribly by DM & manager. Poor excuse for human beings.
I had an ASM do this to everyone in the store on Christmas Eve. She locked the doors and would not let us out until all the tables were set up for the after Christmas sale. I should have fought it then, but I quit shortly after. And yes, this really happened at a store in Arizona. Down with BN, Daunt. I seriously can't wait for this company to fold and all their employees to be fired with malice!
You must work for the upper management in New England. We have lost 90% of our employees because they were treated like sh-t.
