I occasionally put my updated resume on some job boards for no particular reason, fully expecting it to be completely ignored. That was the truth until last month. I was contacted by two different companies and I am currently in the process of following up with one of them. I wasn't planning on leaving but this opportunity landed in my lap and I'm not going to miss it. If you're looking to leave, this is the best possible time for it.

Agreed - update the resume, LinkedIn profile, and start applying....never know what you may land on!
If you have the skills, put yourself out there no matter what your age is.
This month alone I know of two age 60+ Ford retirees (took 2021 package) who got multiple job offers within a week of posting resume on Dice. These were people who actually worked while at Ford.
Don't know what the job market is like right now (yes, everyone seems to be begging for workers, but being over 50 don't know how how much in demand I would be even though I have tech skills). However, I do agree it does not hurt to do a soft search and see what pops up, as one never knows.
Going to have the resume revamped and updated, then go ahead and start looking. One advantage I think I can offer any employee (that many people my age can't necessary offer) is that since I am retirement eligible, I can basically be hired with no need to take any medical benefits from a new employer, since Ford does a good enough job with that until I reach Medicare age. Could be a big bonus ti another employee, not to have to pay medical for an over 50 person.....
