The article says it is only a few hundred workers but that is a lie. I'm at an manufacturing plant and there are at least 10 salaried and many more hourly. I heard that several of the salaried have already got a lawyer.

So disgusted with Ford. They are digging their own grave with this illegal mandate. They already have one step in it with Jim "I know everything" Farley as the CEO. Many of his reports already see the ship is sinking.

Numbers are dropping. The government is ending mask recommendations. It's over - at least for now - until next fall when they scare up hysteria over what will likely be a case of seasonal sniffles weaker than Omicron. Those of you who have survived Covid without vaccines, run out and get your already obsolete shots that will be even more obsolete next fall. Once again, Ford HR is a step behind.

Vaccine mandates are ending everywhere - except Ford. The science hasn't supported them for months. There is no reason to force a healthy individual who just recovered from Omicron to run out and get an obsolete shot. The mandate cheerleader on here must have skipped ethics training and is looking for a Pfizer kickback.

@mfj+1fo7d6So Unfortunately, Ford has opted to keep pushing this foolish policy, even though their competitors are not. Their behavior is perpetuating divisiveness, which does not align with their stated values.

Plan accordingly. I already have plans in place to deal with the consequences of this nonsense.

You don't get HIPAA, du----s. It does not shelter you from questions about your health. HIPAA provides rule for health care providers and insurers, not employers. Before you go off about employers with self funded health plans, it only covers the operation of the plans, not everything an employer does. Enjoy your sniffles ja----s.

You don't get it. They'll continue to make you fill out the form saying if you've had symptoms. You say yes. They are hosed. It is private medical information. Protected by HIPAA. If they disclose it to anyone they can be sued.

Chronic sniffle plan is childish. Request full time remote or at least show your manager your job can be done mostly offsite. The plan is not to make people come in only for the sake of coming in. If your personal plan is to act like a baby, do your coworkers a favor and quit.

Everyone has had since November to get vaccinated, get an exemption, retire, or find another job. At this point, if you are unvaxed or exempt, you are clearly and PITA who won't follow Company policy. And if you don't want to follow Company policy, yes, you should be let go. Go ahead, rant about getting a lawyer, make Na-i references, or rave about the new job you are supposedly getting or your huge bank account. If you haven't taken any steps to follow policy or moving on, the problem is you. Nobody in HR cares if you are looking forward to a confrontation when they can you. You will be forgotten the minute you are gone. Don't let the door hit you......

I can vouch for agency. I was terminated on "accident" when in fact I had previously shown proof that I was vaccinated. Thankfully, I had offers lined up. Best of luck to everyone out here.

How sad it must be for y’all that are so scared of the vax mandate. You can walk across town and get a 50k raise if you actually were willing to do the work, but that’s not the point is it? You’re either not doing work cuz you’re lazy or you’re running out the pension clock. Being pi---d about this won’t fix it. Can’t wait to see you kicked to the curb, we don’t need any more benchwarmers running out the pension clock while us real workers actually get sh!t done

It's about time this limp wristed human resources got off their rear ends an did something about these 400+ people. Who needs them. Why did this take so long? No excuse.

Management wants us to work all these free unpaid hours but hr won't do the same when they have a big job to manage in what should should have been considered "URGENT!!".

I don't believe that "400+" number really means something south of 500 total. We've seen this company making up BS numbers too many times to trust a "news article" that they don't refute suggesting that only a small handful of people haven't gotten the shots (or permission not to) or refuse to tell the company what their status is.

The vax mandate is just a legal issue. Ford is calling back to the Dearborn campus. Ford wants an additional "cya" from lawsuits from people who want to sue Ford because they caught a covid variant.

Ford is spending millions on remodeling buildings, not to mention the new PDC building. Something is up.. they are not telling us everything. WFH will not go on forever.

Seriously Ford HR, what exactly do you hope to accomplish with the mandate at this point? Whether vaccinated or not, the vast majority of employees have likely already had Omicron, or will soon.

Ford management has become the parent saying "because I told you so." A good portion of the world recognizes the mandates are obsolete. Maybe when the vaccines were going to stop transmission it made sense. At what frequency of boosters do you finally say, hmm, maybe resources could have been spent on developing treatments and vaccines that work better.

It is not illegal. Just because you heard someone has a lawyer doesn't mean it is true. Even if it is, everyone who has tried to sue private employers over vaccine requirements has lost. If you refuse to get vaccinated or get an exemption, your career at Ford is over. Whining on a message board won't change it. Accept your fate and move on.

"Want to keep your job? Then get the vaccine!" This is complete bull ex------t!

I've heard from alot of coworkers that are vaxed and unvaxed. They are all saying "F" this. I'm not working as hard as I once did. They will get 54% out of me just like the original bonus amount. Upper management won't ever notice since most don't have a clue what is going on. Just yes men interested in their next promotion.
