Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel stock too low.. are people blind?

What the he-l is wrong with people. When anyone looks for and investment you look for how a companys profit margin is. If they make a great profit you want to invest. If not you dont. Intels profits over the last few years have been incredible. 70 ,80, and 90 BILLION. WAKE UP!!!!!!!

You all so smart why don't u have your own companys. And ok I'm supposed to believe Intel didn't make any profits ? You don't have to be a genius to figure out the stock market has nothing to do with how a company is actually doing. They make millions in profit stock still stays the same. Oh yeah future plans ...sounds like an inside ring of players racquet .

OP, you said "When anyone looks for and investment you look for how a companys profit margin is"

Why don't you take your own advice then? Intel's margin is going DOWNWARD.

Wall Street clearly sees the shell game!

1st FCF is negative this year and forecasted to be slight positive. That positive is based on rosy execution of new products and new process on schedule which Intel hasn’t delivered in five years. Why would you believe a preacher with no evidence but his belief ?

2nd he said the people who failed at 10nm and missed EUV have a blank check. No responsible BoD or CEO should offer a blank check without checks and balances.

3rd the investments in future all require more government subsidies than the CHIPs act. Trust me when there is war and in two years we are awash in real capacity from the other foundry’s the shells will be empty as Intel can’t afford to compete with the far more efficient and larger fabs.

4 margins are dropping because products are uncompetitive, late and they need to compete on price and the factories yield are low further compound the problem.

@OP: you're incorrect on a couple of critical details. First: you're confusing Revenue with Profit, Intel has never had a profit of "70 ,80, and 90 BILLION." For FY2021, the Revenue was $79.0B.

https://www.intc.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1522/intel-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2021-financial

Second, even if you mean to say Revenue and not Profit, the "90 BILLION" is also incorrect. I can understand rounding $79.0B up to $80B, but to magically add $10B to your argument is ridiculous.

As others have pointed out, the net income, FCF, margin have all been dropping and will continue to decline.

You must be new to investing. Stock price is about the future prospects, not the past performance. Intel's stock price is low because investors do not believe in its future.

The "profits over the last few years" don't really mean anything, Intel's profit margin is dropping, losing sales to comp, and products keep slipping, e.g. DG2, Granite Rapids.

By all means…. Invest all your funds into INTC if you believe this. You must be smarter than the collective market…

The rest of the world looks at future free cash flow and not revenues when pricing assets. Intel just said free cash flow would basically drop to 0 until 2026. The opportunity cost (alternative investments) during this time are more attractive vs a long shot invest-in-fabs-and-pray strategy. Intel has no credible plan to fill those fabs with product even if they take 100% PC and server share.
