4 guys on my crew retired last 2 years. All 30 plus years. No retirement parties. Nothing. Not even an announcement on their stupid pages with emails congratulating sales reps on their 1 year of servitude.

A webpage with fireworks.....the gift that keeps on giving. Even better than the jelly of the month club cause you can go look at that page anytime.
I got a link to a webpage with some fireworks for my 15 yr anniv.
Eff that, ya cheap azz company!
They did take away celebrations in 2019 temporarily and then in 2020 brought them back at $150 however Covid brought it to a hold now have canceled all that were on hold. I was one that was on hold.
They cancelled ALL monetary celebrations in Feb 2019. How do I know? Well because my 25th Anniversary was in April 2019 and they took away my gift, gift card, and money for the office celebration..two months prior! Every 5 years you would receive "all that" with the amount based on your years, but now it's just a Congratulations! email. The additional bop on the head was the company's reason for the change saying that the employee was not getting REAL recognition, so they removed the money and focused more on Email Recognitions; as if they were doing us better! Yeah what a joke.
They have been cancelled for years, we don't recognize anniversaries now unless you include that email sent to your peers saying hey so and so has 20 years here say something on their page. The whole Covid thing has brought in a new level of detachment, hey we don't need crew meetings, we don't need lunches for moral boosting and create a team environment, we have VP's and Executives doing their best bad Youtube impersonations.
I remember when they made us do a potluck for our employee appreciation party, that was a slap in the face
Damn - no pizza or Subway ???
Is this a new policy or is it just your state?
The Titanic is taking on water! I’m gonna make some popcorn and sit back and watch! Then laugh until my stomach hurts!
