Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Imperial… “We love doing business with ourselves”

Imagine how productive we would be without all the self serve business we do with ourselves.
For that we would need to cut 75% of toxic managers grasping to be relevant and pretending they are contributing.
Imperial will never be competitive if it continues driving this business model.
The competition has managed to moved on and we are now the laughing subject in our industry.

If any imperial manager is reading this. Here is a piece of advise.
Expectations of Leaders: stay away your direct reports way. Do not be an obstacle. We understand you have insecurities and need to “belong”.
We expect that leaders at imperial will let us do our jobs.

Thank you

Having the toxic managers-supervisors is likely part of the corporate playbook. Take for example controllers or upstream, you'll find enough example of intellectually deficient narcissists running the show. They are great at talking, delivering presentations and if you are lucky they'll be good at baking too. They'll stoop any low to protect their kind and their inflated egos.
