I'm in New York and I swear the last time I went to a Macy's store for their hiring event, they had no idea what I was talking about. I was seasonal a few years back before the pandemic. I applied for every full time position they posted but I get no response or a rejection and then the job gets reposted? I don't get it. I call the stores in Brooklyn or Queens and NO ONE picks up. I don't remember it being this difficult to get a job here and yet I'm hearing they understaffed.

Maybe the req system has been hacked by Russkies!
I have no clue. They seem to have one every month. At my store, some people came in for interviews only to be told that there are no positions open. I am in NY also and we don’t seem to have a problem with being understaffed. If anything, my store is overstaffed now.
