Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Not so great way to start a career in insurance?

If I had the misfortune to gain my first experience in the insurance world here at Allstate, I would surely be looking to get out of this industry forever. I know a person who, after the experience here, completely changed the industry. Now she does a job that is not even similar to what she did here. Allstate is in my opinion a prime example of how an insurance company should not be managed.

All insurance carriers are like this, I am out of insurance now and do recruiting for non-insurance businesses and the amount of people fleeing Allstate, Geico, Progressive and State Farm is astounding.

Allstate is the worst of the worst. It’s been run by Chicago thugs for years. and has successfully brainwashed many through their cult practices of the 1990’s. The only good news is it will be going down one day as karma is a bi--h. I suggest get out now and let them take the rest of the jobs to India and be done with it. Maybe you can make a little profit on your stock options and then sell the rest of it before it tanks. If you are unlucky enough to work at Allstate you are definitely tainted against any career in insurance. The others aren’t that great either but Allstate is the worst.
