Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

MetLife Ignoring the WHO

MetLife is pursuing RTO even with the pandemic ongoing.

The WHO says the pandemic is not over and to expect more variants with some more dangerous. So why put people in an office and potentially endanger their lives when WFH works fine for most.

The EG wouldn't be pushing for RTO if they had to sit in a cubicle like the rest of us.

I find it extremely irresponsible for Metlife to pursue RTO with Covid still spreading.
What happens is that "leadership" thinks its no big deal to return. They become disconnected from reality. It is not until they are personally affected or someone they love is affected that their tune will change. The rest of us-- well who cares--- just go in and spread it around. The tests are bogus and done work anyway. Doesn't make sense that they would not pursue a more aggressive Work from Anywhere approach like their peers.

Covid cases while declining in some areas are still much higher than they were this time last year or this past fall, or this past summer, so tell me why are they pushing RTO?

Is our safety no longer a concern for Metlife?
IMO- if they do it- then March will bring a resurgence like they have never seen before.

I don't believe much that the WHO says. Think about what they said at the beginning of the pandemic. They don't know what they are talking about and are pawns of their owners.

Seems like the determination is, "Which departments are hemorrhaging people and then having applicants turn down job offers because they won't guarantee full remote?"

Who determines who gets to be remote and who needs to be in office? Why is Met putting so much emphasis on RTO. Are they going to separate vaccinated and non vax?
