Kumar's response to the outrage: HR focus groups

It is as if you could see a Management 101 book open on his desk! You cannot make this stuff up!

Freep did an article on all of this. Sounds like GM's 26% of salary bonus is really what prompted Jim and team to step up and right this wrong. Ford saw themselves hemorrhaging talent to GM over this, and over the ridiculous vaccine-that-doesnt-work mandate.

So class? ROFL More like self-survival.

I have news for the executive team, you've stemmed nothing. Everyone is waiting for mid-March to get their bonus, and then they are outta here. For you apologists, get ready for your lives to suck.

@3mdg+1ffss8l2 Class? LMAO
They equalized the AICP all the GSRs were getting for a bonus.
However, that money comes from your merit increases.
So great for the people who retired or are retiring, for the rest it might of been better to have a a better merit increase.

@3mdg+1ffss8l2 Class???? They only did that because they got caught. Otherwise, they didn’t think anything was wrong with that BS percentage initially, so that speaks volumes about the type of people they really are.

@3mdg+1ffss8l2 I am not sure the recovery shows class by the officers, since it took open revolt for this outcome to occur. Further, Kumar continues to talk about GSR/LL6s wanting this formula, when we have no friggin idea what the formula is!

But that they doubled it from 54% to 108% was a pleasant surprise.

The recovery, just announced, shows a lot of class from the company officers. Well done.

@3imz+1ffss8l2 that is a great point. If Ford stopped making ICE vehicles now, they would be done. Finit. Caput.

ICE vehicles will be the biggest mix of vehicles sold for quite a while. I know Bill wants it accelerated because he is an environmentalist that buys into man-made climate change. Whatever. EVs are 90%+ powered by fossil fuels today as well. You just move it from the vehicle upstream to powerplants that deliver the electricity. Everyone is living in fantasyland with these "full electrification targets". Further, Ford defines electrification as including hybrid powertrains.......that still have an ICE at their core!! So the idea that ICE is going away quickly is a myth. Like dry land in Waterworld...........

There is still a lot of work to do in the dying side of the business for a while. With 1% raises, between retirements and layoffs, good luck to whoever is left holding the ball.

Kumar's reference to GSR/LL6 wanting the AICP to be NA based was from a few years ago when NA did great but we got screwed on the AICP (unlike GM of course) because our global operations lost money as usual.

The issue really isn't NA versus global results, it is the fact that our senior management plays games with the target (which they rarely if ever reveal to us) to ensure that no matter what way we are measured, we always come up short. We need to go back to the UAW style of straight up profit sharing. Something like $x for every billion in profit.

Oh thank gosh. That 1% or less will more than cover what the democrat party has cost all of us in 2021, so far in 2022, and beyond!

So happy!!

Per an HR insider, in order to adjust the ACIP GSR salary increase will be reduced to a fraction of the original intended value. Only those in the electrification business will received above than expected AICP as well as salary increase. Ford those in the Engine, Transmission, Chassis, etc. side of the traditional auto business their salary increase will be sacrificed. There will be a beauty contest for those in the dying side of the business to retain talent and those with more than 20 years in the company will get less than 1% of salary increase. The pitch will be that GSRs need to sacrifice for the well being of the company since the LL+ already did when the pandemic hit the business.

Adjust AICP, sure, they will just claim they lowered the LL5+ AICP and rebadge the money they distribute to LL5+ as a retention bonuses, because we all know how Ford needs to retain the lot of them.

I don’t care how much they adjust the AICP. They’ve lost all of my respect. I no longer trust them. I’m done listening to these bozos.

So now they are going to adjust the AICP. Didn’t they see the outrage coming? How f’n tone deaf are our so called leaders? They only are going to adjust because they got caught trying to sc--w us. I will no longer trust them going forward. We’ve been down this road before. Too little too late. Let’s see how much it gets adjusted.

Remember HR is there to protect the company not you. If something happened between employees they take action against the perpetrator to protect the company not the other employee.

No wonder Kumar was in an empty apartment for so many of the early Return to 10 meetings. He probably didn't expect to be kept around this long.

Odds are Kumar will be resigning to pursue other opportunities mid year.
He is the designated fall guy and purveyor of bad news.
He has aged 15 years in the past 3 years, stressful job.

If the Mangers AICP is global based. NA was the only region to make profit!

What is this really going to do? If HR had been keeping their eyes on things in the first place (I.e. the competitiveness of our AICP), we wouldn't be where we are right now. They know but have and will do nothing! The C-Suite knows AICP is rigged against us- c'mon! What is Kumar going to do by inserting himself???

Does he think we're this stupid?

I want to know who the rep or group was that told Kumar I wanted my AICP based totally on FNA. Did we choose them to speak for LL6/GSR?

Did LL5+ have insider trading information to make their rep decide to have their AICP global based??

Something is very slippery with Ford leadership.
