I only ask that if Allstate is doing another round of layoffs, then they ask who wants to go and offer them a package (assuming that is still on the table). I for one, want a buyout, but was not offered to me in the last go around. This way, the people who want out can get out and you are left with people who actually want to be here.

Does anyone know the time frame of when this will happen (days, weeks, months) and who will be affected? Need to get ready to do those d-mb puzzles they had us do in 2020.
It's simple. Allstate wants to cut expenses. Honestly, your performance doesn't even matter. They will look at can we send this to India. If they can you will get your severance. If not then you will likely keep your job
They tried the whole "pay those who want to quit anyways to quit" a while back and it was a total disaster for the company. They will never do that again. If they are going to pay you a package you are leaving on their terms and when they want you gone, not when you want to. No more pay to quit for us unfortunately.

The people who want the packages the most are generally the ones they want to keep around as long as possible. No package for you. Sorry about your luck.
But why would Allstate do that? All that would do is send a message that they care about you and value your input.
They will never do this again while TW is CEO. The highly qualified who can get easily get a new job take the package while Allstate is left with complacent employees with fewer skills than those who’ve left.
