Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Matthew Stafford and Ford …

Obviously, the problem with the Lions was QB Matthew Stafford (NOT) who blossomed when no longer under the Ford Family control. Is it possible the auto arm of the family is full of Matthew Stafford’s who can’t blossom? Is there a root cause and associated corrective actions than need to be implemented?

If Bill was lamenting not getting culture changes quickly due to Ford management then I say bravo to that management. Bill is ki----g this company with his socialist, diversity and environment first wokeism. If he really wants to change the culture he and his family should give up their preferred shares and let the company flourish again.

Oh and the Lions will suck as long as the Fords own them as well.

The problem with the Fords is that Henry Ford's business savvy didn't make it into the genes of his offspring.

You are right Ford Leadership SUCKS, from Mullaly to Fields to Steelcase guy to 'Fa-t'ly however their generals are the same; Filipe, Gray, Thang, KG, etc. The current gnerals are the same that under their (lack of) "leadership" Ford has had quality problems and pathetic launches and do not forget, Filipe's baby DPShit 6. Filipe was promoted instead of being fired for lack of vision and responsiveness to the DPS6 fiasco. Instead, qualified engineers were DP'ed as sacrificial lambs so King Filipe could keep an immaculate resume (pure BS).
If Billy and Fa-t guy want to change the company DNA from the root they need to fire all in VP positions and replaced them with on-your-face type of leaders of course Billy will have to man-up and be less whimpy / pu--y if he wants Ford to reach new heights.
From VP's to LL6 everybody is a kiss a-s person, no guts, no leadership. If Ford wants to be a leader they need to hire true leaders and fire all VP who were responsible for Ford's debacle.
All LL6/5/4 with more than 15 years in the same position should be fired, nobody will miss them, They were useless and they are useless.

I still remember in early 2000s when Bill said he had no idea how to stop the management from sandbagging changes he wanted to make to the company culture . The context was an audience member asked why GSRs could not be empowered to do the right thing. Bill expressed that he wished the bureaucracy did not exist and that knowledge and skills were deferred to instead of management chain. He expressed that he told his leadership team that that was the culture he wanted, but he couldn’t figure out why things did not change.
You almost felt sorry for the guy, every working stiff knew the answer, just fire the self serving management layers and all their cronies. If more of the same popped up, fire them until you have only the people who actually behave according to the Ford publicized values. Instead 20 years later, the company culture is much worse for the wear.

The problem with the Ford family is the wrong branch of the family tree inherited control of the company. When Henry Ford II passed away, WCF Senior basically became the sole rep of the Ford family when it came to this (the crown was passed from brother to brother). Just because you came from the same house does not make any two siblings the same, and this is evident for what happened to the company in the years following the transfer of power. Henry Ford II was a pl----y, but he was also an a-s kicker, I mean it takes some overconfidence and guts to fire Lee Iacocca. Ford vs. Ferrari is a hyperbole of who HF II really was, because of our PC culture people like him are viewed as the bad guy, however he inherited the company in very rough shape (on the verge of bankruptcy), and knew how to pick some very bright leaders to pull it out of the ho-e. The 1960s at Ford were good times as well.

However during that time WCF Sr. was given a very large compensation package, while assuming the "little brother" responsibilities. Case in point, he purchased the Lions in the 60's because he had nothing to do. The Ford family is the American equivalent of royalty, no different than the house of Windsor, who ever is calling the shots has the final say. So when HF II was out of the picture, WCF Sr. had full control which effectively benefited his son. And like father like son....

The HF II lineage were put in the "little brother" roles without really a say on the how the company moved forward. Edsel Ford II basically went and played around with Penta Air, and last year his son Henry Ford III left the company. Billy's appointment of his daughter Alexandra Ford English was nothing more than a move to solidify that WCF Sr. lineage of control.

So whenever Bill gets up there and spouts platitudes about "We're family" look no further than how the Ford family treats their own blood. The WCF Sr. lineage has such a stronghold on the company. Lest we forget, when Bill was in the hot seat, and the company was taking a nose dive it took a family uprising to even admit that he did posses the skills to run a company of that size.

I hope Stafford wins the Super Bowl. It will reflect how the family runs not only a Football team but a Car company. An organization is reflected by management at the top

Yes, the root cause is Ford Leadership sucks. We’ve gone all woke which is killin’ us. Conway is a friggn’ mess. We’d be better of have Joe Biden as CEO. At least we’d get a free crack pipe.
