Thread regarding Ford layoffs

The global semiconductor shortage

I'm constantly thinking about whether a global semiconductor shortage that troubles Ford should normalize throughout the year. It's making me a little anxious. Any thoughts?

Well, it is safe to say I will only put in 8hrs. I will generate "ZERO" TVM idea. Not going to save this management a dime. Trust factor is gone after this week. That presentation yesterday was like trying to put out a fire with Gasoline.
Those former young people who drank the "KOOL AID" before Monday's announcement now are starting to rethink their future.
I am not going to point fingers or trash talk. But I plan to leave this year. For the reasons below.
+Lost Faith
+Trust in anything our senior management say.
+ No realistic Vision
+ No realistic Plan
+ To much reliance on one vehicle line to make profits (F-Series 90+%).
+ Lack of Courage.
+ Plan B! Heavy reliance on EVs. What if those projections do not pan out?
+ Leadership
= Motivation
Again, I am leaving this year. I feel sad the way this management team has conducted themselves. They do not demonstrate real leadership. So, I advise my young direct reports to look out for their future that may include outside of Ford and Michigan.
for my senior employees I tell them to keep an open mind to what is going on. Do not wear a pair of blinders. Do not think you are not expendable! Watch what is going on.
Older commodity engineering is moving south of the border. We are on borrowed time. If you are not a pensioner. I advise them to leave if a better position outside comes up. I believe in being honest with my direct reports.

I could care less. FoMoCo pi$$ed in my face by giving LL5+ 135% bonus vs my measly 54%. Let the ‘Leaders’ worry about it. I’m in coast mode from now on!

The new Ford motto of the regular worker.."Who the he## cares". Let the greedy managers figure it out. We now can shut off the creativity and hard work and await their inspirational instruction. They are now the oppressors.

Could I ask WHY are you thinking about that? That is leaderships job to do, or not do, and still get paid 100 X what you are.
