Mandate

Is the mandate still in place? There's been hardly any communication. The FAQ sheets were updated. Anyone get an exemption approved? Anyone have an exemption denied? Anyone get a 30day vacation?

Anybody else still waiting for a response to their religious accommodation request?

They are waiting it out and quietly giving everyone exemptions.
There is NO one who has been given time off for this from what I can see.
And I know the people who are unvaccinated around me.
It is not hard to tell.

Reporting vax status and actually enforcing, was so two years ago.

The world has moved on from this nonsense.

Reporting in as a "assumed unvaxxed" due to refusal to declare a status and didn't get any communication from HR on Friday. We'll see what Monday brings.

I’ve heard most religious exemptions have been approved, not many medical. Nothing yet about time off for various levels of noncompliance.

So it’s a mess ….

Proof? I know of no one being given unpaid leave. Threats, yes. Follow through, not so much.

Unpaid leave is still happening unless mandatory vaccination is prohibited by state/local laws.

Has anyone that didn't report and/or didn't file for an accommodation been contacted by HR about unpaid leave? I reread the FAQ and they are as clear as mud: salaried employees who refuse to get vaccinated and do not have an approved accommodation COULD be put on unpaid leave.

LOL COULD. Not WILL. Typical HR double-speak. To those of you that stood your ground, good for you. I predict no unpaid leave/firings over this. HR is like a child, holding their breath and jumping up and down in anger. They will eventually give up or pass out..........

If it was just me affected then I would have not reported my status and stuck it out. But I have a family to worry about so I played the game, reported at the last minute, and got an exception.

Its stupid that we have to deal with this. Was told today they we are 100% remote and only ever come in for rare, exception type circumstances. So why do they care if I'm vaxxed?!? Just d-mb.

We'll see what happens, I'm one of those software engineer types and am one of those "nitwits" that have refused to ask permission to be exempted. None of their darn business, especially without the government behind them trying to make it look like a legal requirement. My view is that declaring a status at best affirms their claim over my medical choices, and at worst whatever my choice has actually been is held against me in some way despite any claims otherwise. I was paying attention to what happened with SRD and that ultimately the uppoer eschelons, including the BoD, aren't opposed to acting unethically if there is profit in it and they think they can get away with it.

I know of at least three people that has had a religious accommodation approved. In fact, rumor is going around that nearly everyone that submitted such an accommodations has been approved. Might be happenstance, or could be that Ford has had for years very strong religion based FERA clubs. IN fact, I think at one time if you really read some of those 'reminder' emails, they were basically all but saying "FILE AN ACCOMADATION YOU NITWIT' because they kept letting people submit for an accommodation well past the original due dat of Nov 17th, 2021.

So if any do get the 30 days then let go treatment because they did not want to cooperate at all, then I don't know how sorry anyone should feel. I also feel depending on the area, these people might be handled a different way than officially let go, especially if they are in an area of great need of people with certain skills. For instance, I can't imagine anyone that is a software engineer of BEV engineer would be let go, not when we can't even hire anyone with these skills. Then again, a lot of things have happened in the past that I thought never would....we are Ford after all, and we stubbornly follow our own Northstar no matter what.

We'll see what happens. Management has been advised that you may lose people to the mandate. Yet we're already understaffed due to the hiring freeze, and even before the freeze you couldn't find qualified candidates anyway.

So losing 3-12% to the mandate, plus the exodus that will ensue after cr-p merit and bonuses, means Ford is a cheap date on prom date IE screwed.
