Middle tier mangers

The question I personally don't have an answer to is why does middle tier management make life he-l for employees? It can often be heard that they are victims of executive abuse too. But then why are they trying to make others' lives miserable?

76% turnover in what department?

Remember when we could go to HR for advice or confidential help? Boy have things changed. 76% turnover in that department. Are things really better?

Are you talking about operations or field middle managers? I have only heard of a few overbearing managers in Plano but maybe they micromanage their field reports harder because they don't have the same observability as their Plano peers?

Thats the million dollar question. Do you know how much money would be saved if we axed a lot of those positions? Big savings on dead weight and I guarantee worker bees would be much more efficient without all of the pet projects and mind numbing busy work.
