Twenty-five consumer goods companies made the list; three were toy companies.

Hasbro #1, Funko #5, and Mattel #8.

As the list only included publicly held companies, we don’t know how Lego would have ranked.

Looks like FP's Rock & Play Slayer won't be forgotten anytime soon.

An investigation by the House Committee on Oversight and Reform alleges that the New York-based children's products giant didn't adequately vet the sleeper for safety before putting it on the market in 2009 and then batted away criticism of the Rock 'n Play for a decade before recalling it in 2019 after more than 50 infants had lost their lives.

"What we found is absolutely shocking," said the committee's chairwoman, Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, D-N.Y. "It is a national scandal."

There was a time that other companies would hire mattel cast offs to learn the company process and then kick them out the door in 6 months. Now nobody wants a former mattel employee except for spinmaster. it’s like the elephant graveyard for has been designers and just look at how many hits they’ve been churning out ;)

Literally no one batted an eye. Government can ooh and ahh at anything they want. It will never make a dent in the perception of the company. No one cares about safety unless it’s an active shooter or some other large scale event in the media. Most people feel the same way about the sleeper; someone should’ve been watching their baby instead of sleeping next to the sleeper. Just an opinion. Either way, FP is still in the clear. Only competitors will point out the obvious for an extra leg up in the industry.

It’s too bad people don’t follow instructions.

As someone who works at FP, it’s hard for me to get a sense of how the Rock N Play scandal has effected the average consumer’s perception of the company. Is this the first thing people think of when they see the FP logo? Have people stopped buying our products because of it?

It seems like something of this magnitude would threaten to tarnish the entire brand, to what extent do you think that’s the case?
