There's no need. There's literally no need. All that needs to be done is not backfill the positions that have been left open through attrition. And there's certainly more than enough of those. More people are leaving than ever before! So why are we still hiring and laying off in the same breath instead of letting things play out on their own?

They have Layoffs to get a cheaper replacement chances are you make to much to back fill the other position sad, but true. A real company that valued knowledge or experience would probably make accommodations to keep good people.
So who's the new suitor? It sounds like the Zayo deal is dead, with no news since it leaked.
Windstream found another interested suitor and needs the books cleaned up.
Combine some org - Ki-l some position - Get super excited about “all the improvements”. Rinse, wash. Repeat. The cheer leaders get more and more worked up when you do this. Remember - windstream isn’t improving anything. They get rid / cut / etc and realize down the road it was a bad idea. “Boy, i have a good idea. Let’s do what we used to do when it worked.” It’s easy to look good if the good things broke and all you are doing is standing it back upright again. F.windstream so hard.
Customers! Stay away from this place. Your “expert” at windstream is earning the minimum for the field and doesn’t give a rats patootie.
