Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

Do they even know how to make a good plan?

There are only two possibilities, one is that management doesn't know how to make a good plan, so most here work long hours to meet unrealistic deadlines, and another is that they know how to make a plan but they do not care if employees can, and in which way, meet those insane deadlines.
I don’t know which of those two options is worse.

My opinion is that there are 3 management types at GE: (1) those that want what they want and just pound the table despite reality, (2) those that are clueless and just parrot what is demanded of them, and (3) those that recognize reality and appreciate what needs to be done but have hopelessly surrendered to (1) and (2) as they know they will be axed for giving the organization a reality check. In any event, things will not improve until the culture is changed from looking good to being good.

Oh they have a plan, spend a $1.00 and make $1.40 in return. After all's said and done If the percentages aren't achieved reduce more staffing to feed the beast. Happy Q2 2022, the financial buckets are empty start again and repeat. FYI, Beatings will continue until moral improves.
