Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Employee to CEO wage gap

That gap is huge at the moment. Does anyone think it will ever be reduced?

There's a great documentary on you tube: "Inequality for All"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvAFPHLFMa0
Check out the information at: 5:45, 7:40-9:40, 14:30, 33:50 and 45:30 See a familiar name there?

This documentary was made in 2013. Things are a lot worse now.

How much are the new factory workers being paid per hour compared to new hires at Target, or similar? Somewhere around $14 vs $19 to start with benefits at the other places!
How long do you think this will be sustained?

Get ready for another depression!

@1ozy jealousy LMAO Typically people project their worst flaw onto others.
The central problem is total lack of leadership. Anyone who has been around for any length of time sees the patterns repeat and the continuing race to the bottom with ford leadership aptitude, skills and ethics. No one would begrudge a true leader being well compensated, clowns are another story. Never heard anyone complaining about Mulally’s salary.
In the 90s Nassar created the LDC and claimed he was ‘creating new leadership DNA’. He eliminated GSR salary bands above 8 because he saw no value in technical expertise, after all only leaders matter. He also established forced ranking, and up or out. He certainly did alter the leadership DNA, and the trajectory of the company; but not for the better.

Maybe we will all get racing suits like Chris Farley's cousin to wear.

Is this forum run by Ford human resources? Why so many posts deleted? We're they all violent and threatening?

The CEO pay is up the shareholders. The stock better maintain a good valuation for investment. If the stock price drops the CEO pay drops, stock increases the pay increases.

No jealously - the issue is that the only “hard work” most people above LL6 do at Ford is improving their a$$ kissing skills. Most aren’t worth a darn.

I have confidently identified the main flaw in Ford's employee workforce. And you people that post here made it obvious, especially after reading the most recent thread subjects and posts. One word: jealousy.

You are all jealous of Bill Ford, Jim Farley, and frankly all of Ford leadership. You are jealous of HTHD employees. You are jealous of anyone higher than a LL6. You are jealous of all their accomplishments and salary. Stop the jealousy.

Here's an idea for you, work hard and better yourselves like they all did. Get on board with the company's new direction of electrification, software, and data/analytics.

Sorry to be blunt, but it must be said.

Well, one posters is correct in that all of us are free to go at anytime if we think the company is being unfair in pay (hint - they are, as most huge conglomerates). So there is that.

The real issue is the CEO worth that much pay, in terms of performance or other variables that person can bring to the table. There are less well known CEO's that by competence and leadership, design and implement strategies to enable good long term performance...think of Toyota or Honda in this manner, or even Mark Fields when he was here . Others, such as Lee Iacocca who was a celebrity CEO who got out in the public and whipped up support and interest in a company...heck, even Mullaly did that when he was here (think of the times he went on late night with Letterman to talk about key developments). They were all worth they outrageous pay because they get results that add real money to a company's bottom line

Trouble is that most CEO's today aren't not like either two categories above, so they fail and don't deserve what they get paid.....Farley and the former Professor Moonbeam fall into that category - people who got big salaries based on a title than actual bottom line performance.

No 8f your satisfied with your pay stay, if your not leave or negotiate. Only losers complain about someone getting paid more money.

No. Especially when we are paying both Bill Ford AND his worthless CEO AND the rest of the family and friends that kind of money.
