Downfall: The Case Against Boeing

A must watch for anyone working in the current aerospace industry. Schedule, profits ,wall street, marketing, & management bonuses/survival > safety. Management lip service is nauseating. A similar program could be made based on the G650 crash.

Please read “Testing the Limits : The crash of Gulfstream Aerospace flight 153”. There are many similarities to the Boeing incident with regards to a know issue and management pushing the G-650 program due to financial concerns. Early in G-IV testing, they experienced a wing stall while testing at Roswell. Testing was halted and engineering determined stall strips and vortilons were needed on the leading edges. This was when Alan Paulson (a pilot) owned the company not GD. I was told by members of the G-650 flight test team, that the pressures coming from GD were overwhelming during the flight testing program....until 4 people tragically lost their lives.

It was an interesting movie. Just watched it in on Netflix. Interesting parallels of what McDonnell Douglas did and to what GD is doing.
