We hired a guy who used to work at our building years ago. Two weeks later he quit because "I realized why I left the first time, nothing has changed."
No need to lay off when folks are leaving for better work and MUCH better pay 15 mins away. The problem for Seagate is that these are people that the company would have wanted to keep. During the last two focals, the company f'd around and now they're finding out.
Did the April and June layoffs happen?
They are pushing for people to come back to the office after 2 years. Expect some voluntary layoffs from that perspective.
Seems like some streamlining of the vlsi team is inevitable. Review the existing hdd vlsi projects (goby7 and gobyda) and focus more on the upcoming cloud vlsi.
The argument going on in upper mgmt is - TCO soc team takes over the hdd vlsi development and LCO guys get the cloud vlsi.
And that also means few people laid off
Impossible.
If you predict it will rain, eventually it will come true.
Which site?
Please come tonight. I hate waiting for such a long time
Oh, you "heard from Hr"? LOL!
Preparing since 2000:(
