My daughter just started working in fast food. 15 to start and with the high turnover rate she is averaging 16 to 24 hours o.t. It's a sucky job like retail but the money is good and they don't cut hours based on Home office greed. Just a thought.

It could always be worse. You have a job, shelter, & food for your family. Keep working hard & faith. Sure it's tough, but it beats being broke, hungry, & homeless.

If you do 401k, make sure you do the pre tax. Which means taxes are paid by you before deductions. Taxes never go down. And you don't get nailed hard when you retire and have to pay the big tax bill when you withdraw. By the time you retire I'm sure taxes will be much higher than they are now.

Maybe you should contact resources for living. That it's what it's there for. It's free to all associates and their family. You can talk to someone that can help lead you to feeling better and may be able to direct you on the right path to help you save

I'm sorry things are rough, I hope things get better for you. You should check out Dave Ramsey, maybe some of his stuff might help you out? Look his stuff up on YT, an book is only like $10 an has all his steps for his program. Best of luck, keep you head up!

PS I hope your doing the 401k match for retirement.
