I've had three managers since I started working here three years ago and I'm not sure which one was more incompetent.

I've been blessed that all my managers were very good. I was well looked after
The current one is perfectly fine. But she rose through the ranks in her team (junior to senior to team leader) and now she leads it. Now, her manager, and that manager's manager? I don't think those people have say in anything, to be honest. But THEIR managers, the c-list people... They need to take a long hard look at their work.
I've dealt with some truly appalling managers and culture. But there's a few good people I've seen dotted about. And I often wonder if in another business context without the same organization issues and pressure some of the management would be reasonable managers.
Something tells me I'm not the only one who had to deal with managers like that.
