We're seeing people ghosting for interviews, ghosting after offers are being made, and people just up and leaving for whatever reason. I don't think people really care much any more.
A simple solution is the solution that's always been there. Close the employee to CEO wage gap. Instead of trying to hire for peanuts, double the salary or wage, and find out how many "remaining" people a busting down your door for a job. It doesn't have to make sense, if you want people, then pay through the nose you will.
