PTSD from wearing masks. I was told if we were fully vaccinated we wouldn’t have to where one anymore. Then it became only food area’s. We are still being forced to continue to wear them in a Pittsburgh PA area store. According to the FDA you cannot contract covid from food. So what’s the deal. Is Sam’s club superior to the government. I already have anxiety over this! We work around hot ovens and it hard to breathe! Is this every store in the USA. Or just ours. HO PLEASE HELP!!

I don’t know why it’s so hard to comprehend that the masks in fresh rule is no longer Covid related. It is to help keep from spreading any illness that we might show up to work with from spreading through the food that we work with intimately. The company really should do a better job of highlighting that fact. How effective this rule is or isn’t especially when people forget that their nose is part of the respiratory system I don’t know. All this being said I’m tired of them too.
I work in fresh and think everyone preparing food should wear masks to keep nose drippings from landing in the food. Not just at Sam's Club, they should wear them at every food establishment.
Don't be a baby.
If your area is still in high transmission rate then you have to continue to mask up
I've been poking pin holes in mine since day one.
Cut the inside linings out of your mask. Make the mask as thin as possible. That's what I did/do. Take the provided paper mask, a pair of scissors, and cut the linings out. I breathe just fine through the gauze material.
They also cough, sneeze and sp-t trough out the store on packaging and self checkout registers and always have. The masks started with covid in every department and if no one else is wearing them….it should end in fresh area’s as well. You CAN NOT get covid from food!! It’s on the government’s website js
I very much like the idea of people not being able to breathe, cough, sneeze, sp-t, etc over food. You can act like it never happens if you want, but it has and it does accidentally and intentionally. The pandemic just made that obvious.
It's in all Fresh company wide as far as I understood. However I do think it's d-mb and pointless if no one else wears them.
