Who is left to lay off? My team has halved in the last few years, but our work volume has remained the same. So, please, explain to me how is it possible that layoffs are still taking place? Is it the goal to lay off everybody and then just have the last person out lock the door and throw away the key? I don't get it.

The company isn’t worth much if Uniti is not captured, or capatured by Uniti. Windstream was looking for a way to get out with Zayo. Uniti is partially owned by Elliott but not controlled by Elliott unlike Windstream and this is reason the deal got cancelled. Now there is a fight on comments of rent payment amounts in 2030 and value of assets between the two and this is off a deal that got done in 2020. If and this is a big If nothing is settled by 2025 and losses continue there will be another bankruptcy followed by fire sale and layoffs galore possibly in both companies.
You're workload didn't increase as well?
Just keep passing up the issues - "we're working on it the best we can."
Most of our focus is the SVPs weekly issue, hardly our actual daily work. Not enough hands.
