Thread regarding Sears layoffs

New jobs website

He y'all, look at this new goofy @ss jobs website Sears has now:

https://jobs.sears.com/us/en

This all just means that the site is now a convoluted mess, and it's hard to search for jobs by category. I think they just did this nonsense to make it harder for us to see the store(s) that have closing jobs listed. I used to be able to sort it by "Sears" jobs, "Kmart" jobs, Full-Time, Part-Time, Etc.. Now it's a jambalaya mishmash.

BUT HEY, CHECK out the diversity and inclusion section on their front page! They even have a dedicated page to the topic: https://jobs.sears.com/us/en/diversityandinclusion

Welcome to the Woke Olympics of corporations, Sears!

@9zjc+1fSmX4mo I Know! I think it was made this way just so we can't see which stores are closing. Let's face it, nobody is applying to work at Sears, nor are any Sears really hiring. It's all a ruse. This idi0tic website is so poorly designed that one can't even filter jobs by location or state.

My conclusion is that the person who designed that job site wants the company to fail. I have never seen a jobs site so awful.

@1qvv+1fSmX4mo Probably because they consider them glorified online fulfillment centers, more than actual "retail stores", LOL. 😉😏😆 But seriously, the one part of that site they actually seem to have worked on is that "inclusion" department. Seems just about like any other company these Days, in that regard.

Actually, no, it doesn't make sense and I don't know why they did it. Since they have a category called 'Retail Stores', why aren't all of the store jobs in that category?

@1ezk+1fSmX4mo Thanks, that makes sense (although I don't Know why they did it that way). It's still difficult, however, to sift through the jobs by locations or categories. I wonder if they made it purposely vague so as people can't easily ascertain which stores are closing, or how many are left? I guess there must be a method to the madness.

Most of the jobs that are in retail stores (such as Sears in Braintree, MA) are listed in the "Other" category instead of the "Retail Stores" category.

Thanks for the link, OP, but this is about the stupidest, disorganized Job website I have ever seen! As you mentioned, you can't search for jobs by categories or anything. Useless!

Sears hates everyone equally, regardless of how they look. They are not prejudiced, they are just as horrible to everyone, LOL. Wow.

I assumed Sears has always been inclusive. Everyone is treated like the stepping stone that they are regardless of who they are......and all are dumped equally as well.

Oh they are extremely diverse! When I called recently for a warranty issue on a Sears Weedwacker, I was transferred literally to 17 different agents in several different countries who couldn't understand English, but kept transferring me to other agents. After dealing with a United Nations worth of different agents for about 2 Weeks, finally found one who could issue me a Sears E-Gift Card because there simply were not Craftsman repair centers available to fix it. Whoppee, Lucky me! I get to shop more at Sears.com! How generous of them. :(
