Just a little over two years is not much until retirement. I'm still here because I don't believe that I would manage to find another job that would suit me better, but yes, I often wonder whether it might be worth the risk to leave now. How close to retirement does it still make sense to leave?

I was able to find consultant/contract work and make more than my previous DXC salary. Worth a try to share your knowledge and get paid more for it.
Employment contract, there is no such thing in the USA and most states have what is called right to hire which really means right to fire for almost any reason except for protected classes
Applicants, employees and former employees are protected from employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, s-x (including pregnancy, se-ual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age (40 or older), disability and genetic information (including family medical history).
If it doesn't harm your health - then yes sit back and do little as possible, let other people do the donkey's work. You won't get thanks for going up and beyond what's contained in your employment contract.
Good luck if you make it. I'm not being a Debbie downer other than I've seen companies try and F* you up before you retire. For your sake I hope I'm wrong, but DXC sounds like one of those companies. I don't know your skill set or age, but you'll be surprised what better company you may find.
@1clk+1fSC2B2X getting more money with minimum effort is a good deal, if you can withstand the toxic culture here. Your retirement looks well underway so I suspect money isn't a problem for you. I'd suggest you start pursuing the things you still want to do with your life.
My question is do I retire and get my 401K match now or wait out till I am RIff'ed and get 26 weeks of unemployment. Have a year to go and why retire, I am not on call, only work my 40 hours (at least I am at the computer for 40) and get unlimited vacations almost.
One never knows if they have enough to retire, I have 1.5 million , plus 100K in savings
2 years will fly. If you have worked there a long time then the whole idea of CV’s, interviews and finding the right agency that appreciates experience at senior is just going to feel like a time waste to you and adjustment will take 6 months. I’d just ride it out.keep your head down, attend your town halls whilst doing something else. Don’t point out problems as you will get an action. Attend the pointless meetings, fill in your employee surveys, pretend the appraisal is useful and the work is meaningful and once you have done the two….kick back and relax.
If you think you have the money to retire and you aren't enjoying work, retire now. Life's too short to work at DXC if you don't have to. If you still need to work then you lose absolutely nothing from applying for other jobs.
