The level of micromanagement at Fidelity is getting to a point where it's no longer worth it to go through the stress. I know this is not just my team, I've been hearing people throughout the company complain about this. I know how to do my job. I've been doing it long enough that I know how to do it efficiently. So either let me do my job or lay me off. It's that simple.

It's company-wide.
First through the phone sites, then into the branches about 10 years ago. Roles that were simply about giving the clients a great experience (FR, RM) and were measured on NPS score turned into "how many dials/appts set/appts run/RIPs completed this week"? When colleagues brought to management's attention that the "rock-star appointment-setter" RMs in other branches were clearly gaming the system (FCs were clearly having their RM book all meetings), it fell on deaf ears.
They will fire you soon if you complain. L1 L2 ‘s are busy protecting fake image of the firm. Aggressive, mean leadership.
