Nobody is happy, everybody is overworked and underappreciated. The increases we get - if we get them - are so low they don't even cover a third of the inflation. No matter how hard you work you will not be rewarded by the management - all they will tell you is to look for a new job externally if you want a pay raise.

@bjft+1fOkChap did you jump or get pushed, you sound a bit wounded.
@baop+1fOkChap with all due respect, I am at liberty to share my views, just as you are. If you don't like them, that is ok. I am a hiring manager and, I will confess that I will google search a potential candidate for my team. While a company may not do it formally, that does not mean hiring managers don't, just like they will connect in to their LinkedIn networks for intel on candidates.
Might be the case in UK, but not in other countries like Poland. It varies by country I guess, but still - you should not be discouraging anyone to seek justice. Perhaps this kind of info is being analyzed for high executive roles, but for the rest - I highly doubt it.
@bjft+1fOkChap take a look at the link below, and tell me if i the employer and employee names are protected? not sure what your comments are all related to.

hr trolls standing guard and hard at work I see. Court cases are public but employee and company names are hidden. But if you say so, it must be true :) It must be a standard part of every hr recruitment process to go through hundreds of all historical court cases for every potential candidate, right? :) Even if that was the case and possible, rejecting candidates based on the past court case they won with previous employers only means they would be treated as bad in their new job, so good for them.
But hey - let us all be swamped with lots of work with no appreciation, robbed of what we deserve based on crooked system, not getting it all back via a easy labor court case. Let us just leave or get fired until lseg is happy with their new super lean business they overpaid for, like it's our fault. The fish rots from the head. Leaving this head in charge of cost cutting is the biggest mistake lseg could ever make.
Here in my country you only go to court if you don’t want to get another job. Employment Court cases are public so employers check this and if you took your employer to court in the past they may not hire you. It’s a catch 22 scenario.
Not many go to court, perhaps even no one, as they think its complex, stressful, time consuming and expensive. It's not. Labor court judges always stand on employee side and are generally nice people. Why does HR insist the problem is communicated to the employee on an "informal meeting"? It all stinks to high heaven and folks winning court cases was one of main reasons other companies dropped this toxic forced ranking years ago. You don't even need a lawyer for that, just make sure you keep some records of your actual work, achievements, goals, etc. and then it's super easy to prove you were discriminated, get what you deserve back and more.
Several people underperforming twice in a row and still here? Not being able to get a job somewhere else is the only reason you think? You would't think they just resign, you would hope they do. I do however hope bonus and merit increase money these people did not get serve you well. After all, LSEG is about to go bankrupt, so let us all chip in. Now please gtfo.
@6zyy+1fOkChap That may be the case but going to court, really? How many people go to court for getting on a performance plan. I’d think they just resign and go underperform somewhere else ( providing they are employable). I know several people who got underperforming twice in a row and they are still here, moaning yes, but if you can’t get a job elsewhere then underperforming and regular wages better than no wages maybe?
The amount of work is crazy, no end in sight.
Sinking ship for some is a luxury yacht for others. It's all to make you leave, so they can save on redundancy packages. If you won't leave via getting overworked and no appreciation - they will make you leave with "underperforming" ratings and performance improvement plans and then fire you as if it's your fault with their behinds covered until you go to court.
They managed to sell Wealth related assets for $1 billion. Reduce debt and buy back stock. Another sign of a sinking ship for some.
It deppends on your country really 😉
The famous location strategy ;-)
Yes 1000% agree, that why share price is up 10a% on past week and the bonus pot was up 30%. Jump it’s really really sinking. Hope you already jumped. Don’t hang around.
Where is your office (country) ?
