Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Leaving MetLife After 10+ years

The time to jump ship is now! From their bungling of "Future Work" and Return To Office, to firing anyone in Leadership who isn't a bobbleheaded rubber stamper, to unrealistic expectations and for anyone still in the dark about the drastic wage divide between others in this line of business - Met pays dog sh-t comparatively. There are a lot of other reputable carriers that are hiring, where work/life balance is actually a real thing and not a meaningless buzzword, where they understand that working remote works and is encouraged and supported, that you are worth more and should not be surprised to get a 5 figure bump! Met always tried to be the middle of the road, wishy washy, ho hum company - That doesn't cut it, not for me and for a lot of others like me. They don't care about people, or morals, or about empowering people, about developing leaders, they rely on an archaic metrics system that is no longer relevant in this segment. So sayonara, I'm gonna go find Snoopy (wherever they dumped him) and drink some rum infused fruity cocktails on the beach until I start my new position!!

@ser+1fOjkYCH I did. I managed to negotiate with my new company to delay my start date until after we got paid out. Got a sign on bonus and making $20k more than I was at ML. Anyone in FMG needs to be looking.

Well said, OP as I toast you from home! Good luck ahead. It is great that YOU took actions regarding YOUR career and well-being, instead of ranting and whining on here multiple times a day. Kudos to YOU!
