All us CSTs were offered a package where I work. I am not even 50 yet but it's time to go.

When and where was this?

Because CTL was always a house of cards. Post and Williams strategy was to serially acquire companies, cash out the value to investors and pay for the previous acquisition, and repeat. They talked a good game and treated some of their employees relatively well, but their heart wasn't in running phone companies. Every new purchase was to paper over their inability to deliver results.

I have no idea what Glen Post decided to buy Qwest and Embarq.
The company was doing so well and was a very happy place to work.

Thank God the retirement is only few months away. 🙏

That was CTL after coming from Q's lost decade. Didn't last either.

Nice for a while as long as Apollo is willing to put money in

BS will be a happy place until the money runs out.

Good luck to you future Brightspeed employees, but it's clear that will be a pump and dump operations like Ziply. The ex-VZ guys aren't going to stick around for another 20-30 years and that's leaving aside their mixed record in running an operation without wireless to prop it up. Nice for a while as long as Apollo is willing to put money in but if BS don't get things moving, and Lumen is setting them up for success by withholding the most profitable customers and transport, it will turn into a firesale or bankruptcy like Fairpoint.

I'm sure many of us in Florida wish the divestiture included our state because the leaders of Brightspeed in my opinion are more knowledgeable and informed about how this industry operates and what it takes to generate revenue unlike the current leadership of Lumen who only finds more ways to "cut" in order to stay afloat. The split isn't complete yet there's been more announcements of a future plan with Brightspeed with growth then we've seen since Level 3 took over and the ship started sinking.
