Up says they need to hire 3,000 people. How they going to handle all this new train traffic and be short so many employees?

Just don't hire on and let the company and the stocks all go to he-l....
do you think UP can move military trains better than any other class 1s in a National Emergency?? Emergency!! Squad 51, where are YOU??
What about the bo-b trains ? Member when the bo-b trains were derailing everywhere and causing mayhem, pollution, toxicity, and carnage ? They still around ? Seems without the Keystone pipeline there should be more bo-b trains carrying explosive material running through our neighborhoods.
Sounds like your in the right place , if your confused. Plain amd simple the railroad just wants to confuse 3000 more people and sp-t them out when not needed .
Hope they hire for the engineering depts. Cuz the last 5 years the track has been super neglected. Not gonna handle any traffic w/ derailments and bad cp’s letting the points run which causes the switch to not lock up.
I didn't see the confusion. I'm more bothered than anything. They say they need 3000 new hires to meet demand. OK great, but what happens to those new hires right after there trained or demand slows? Maybe one of the corporate clowns will chime in and give those details. Someone already kind of pointed what would most likely happen to them.
They will probably just lower attendance points to 14.
Do people actually apply to train crew jobs still LOL. I fell for that trick in 2008.
What are you confused about? This is UP, not much makes sense here. Get used to it.
What are you confused about? They are hiring in order to meet new demand. When it decreases, they will lay off the poor ba----ds. Railroads do this all the time. Hopefully the applicants aren’t desperate for a job and look elsewhere for their sake.
