I was talking to my friend from Express who is now an Auto Underwriting Service Assistant in personal lines. She said it's much better than claims. Most of them only have to come into the office once a month and others just 2 days a month. They get to decide when. I have to come in 5 days a month which is complete BS now that gas is crazy and getting worse. We are both the same job class and make the same money. Why does claims keep getting sh-t on while employees in other areas get a benefit? We have 20,000+ thousand people working from home full time and adding more full time WFM positions. Let your TM know what BS this is if you are in claims. I wrote letters to HR and also created a fake GMAIL account and emailed some of the Execs. I know it will not make any difference and they could care less but at least want to call out the useless leaders in claims. Seems U/W leadership has at least a little sense and somewhat cares about their employees.

Yeah, underwriting is a mixed bag when it comes to in-office time requirements, but largely 4-5 days a month as well.
Yeah its great if you move to a hub, since you now lose the ability to move wherever you want and have to stay close to office. Had I chose to not move to a hub i could have moved anywhere in the country to work from home. Another punishment for those who were flexible to the company but get no flexibility back. I understand if the company paid for my move, but they didn't, and it was a huge financial hit to do it.
I would say your friend is probably in training and if the space allowed it they would be in office more. We couldn't fit in the building before COVID let alone now with all the new hires. It's also up to management. Example, I'm in business lines but we are required to be in office at least 4-5 days a month however 2 days we all have to show up as a team for "collaboration" and those days our manager picks.
5 days a month? jeez freakin Christ, please quit. I can only imagine you in a huddle tattling on you co-workers.

Blah blah…more BS
How the Express leadership kept their jobs is crazy, I’d be very nervous if I were them. Time to polish that resume up, things aren’t going to be pretty with that much turnover.
@1tab-is a fine example,of the “quality” of the typical post on this site. This is who you are asking for advice and counsel.
Yes agreed it's the same trolls trying to start something....they need to be on the.... I suck SF's d-ck and let them ji-z on my face.com web-site instead of thelayoff.com
Everything on here is some version of a lie. Nothing factual….
LOL! Always love to read all the brain dead troll comments that show just how useless they are....everyone on here that has anything to say real recognizes you f-cking id--ts.
Interesting strategy…..doing things that you say will make no difference and urging others to do the same. And you wonder why you’re not in a high level leadership role.
You are now free to go after that union job where every grunt gets the same slip fed to them, while the union bosses hobnob with management and laugh at you.
Or....
You could take initiative and better yourself so that in the future your life is better.
Ummm, no, you are better off simply complaining while others move ahead in life, and just resign yourself to the fact that there will always be someone else that has some aspect of their lives which are better than yours.
Maybe a participation trophy will be the best option for you.
only way they would even care if it becomes a big enough issue to be public and makes them look bad , since right now the new hot thing is the war and not the pandemic let alone WFM i just don't think there is any way things will improve unless it hurts them publicly in some major way.
I have seen yammer posts get locked within an hour of people asking about gas prices , the economy and inflation and over all asking to WFM to save some cash as the economy is a mess, they get locked with the cookie cutter message " talk to your leader" which is BS as your leader is only following corporate orders.
I hate to be one of those people that says this to you but honestly finding another job that offers WFM might be the way to go as the corporation does not care how many ECRS they have to hire to keep the boat afloat...however messy things get so long as they make those sweet profits.
in short we are f*cked....
