I'm worried about layoffs but who isn't? Even people working at Apple worry about being cut. There are more people who still like AIG than you think. Most of those complaining are part of a vocal minority. The rest of us appreciate the pay and benefits we get and would like to continue getting them - hence being here, to get some info on possible layoffs. AIG is not as bad as some are making it out to be.

You have to take advantage of the benefits if you are getting screwed out of a raise or cost of living adjustment.
The majority hate it at AIG. The original post must either be a newbie or you are bff’s with some upper management individual. The rest of us hard workers get railed everyday

There are people who also liked their jobs and pay and benefits and are losing their jobs imminently in a cost cutting measure that I’m sure will somehow cost the company money. Yeah, it could happen to anyone, but it isn’t. It’s happening to them specifically, and they’re upset.
No one cares about claims ops, claims, or IT at an insurance company, but wait until they come for the email forwarding, tab clicking, and spreadsheet jobs. Then we’ll really have something to worry about.
