What are the plans for our company? Our Managers we’re heading to corporate this week with SMT and other Managers. They’ve returned but have told none of us anything about the plans here? What kinds of meetings were there this week? I know NOV is in financial troubles. What is our leaders doing to keep our jobs?

Engineering VP will retire hanging his hat up on accomplishing absolutely nothing in an entire career and projects that went nowhere while competitors tech ran circles around him. Tubo tech in 2022 will still consist primarily of 80s equipment held together by duct tape and parts salvaged from other units.
ALT team will have another big game changing idea that SMT will drool over and throw tons of money at them they will immediately spend and it will fizzle out when they have no skills or competency to actually accomplish it. This will immediately be forgotten when they present the next big idea. Repeat until Tubo has no money.
SMT will brag about coating sales and abilities but then as a customer you realize we don't have any capacity or facilities that can actually coat pipe. Somewhere there are coatings available, but probably so is Bigfoot. The hunt continues.
More people will leave and new engineering director will send more money overseas to random foreign companies and contractors instead of hiring or training anyone up.
ALT calls will keep getting longer until morale improves or the last salesperson standing falls asleep.
