I still have not heard strong rumors of involuntary layoffs outside this forum, which does not mean it won't happen. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything and/or is it possible that involuntary layoffs may be pushed to later in the year (3Q/4Q) once the effects of the re-org are better understood?

With regard to the HTHD sham. Ford simply does not value highly skilled employees.
You can tell this as the right company for your skills values you in the right way.
If you are not valued, it means you are in the wrong company.
Never stay at a company where you are not valued.

Word is that layoffs are imminent if you are a underperforming general in a conflict zone.

HTHD is no better than a picture of a carrot if you're already here. Unless you get hired in from the outside you'll never even reach the midpoint.

With all this BS HTHD pay nonsense, they are going to soon be in a compensation death spiral. We have a bloated high earning senior exec population, ridiculous number of mid-upper mgt earners, and now the HTHD people. Then add splitting the company into 3 with only one (Ford Blue) making money with the other 2 spending like drunken sailors. They would need to pretty much get rid of all other salary in the US and source all the work to a 3rd world country in order to not go bankrupt.

OP very sorry to hear. Do you mind sharing exactly what happened? What was the rationale - may help folks prepare.

@1epc+1fGHCgsq The raises are in the can and will be communicated to employees on Monday along with the bonuses. You'll get ~4% for TA, ~2.5% for A. Nothing for LA. And you will get less than that if you are already over the 50th percentile in your salary grade.

They don't care what inflation is. We are all getting a pay cut thanks to Brandon's economy. Gas will be $5/gallon by April 1st.

@OP sorry to hear that.

To the LL5, in the last big action - SRD. there were some dribbles in March and April before the firehose in May. There were some LL that wanted to be first out of the gate to help them meet other objectives (personal/corporate). Another game that was played is let’s make some room to protect friends/family. In one case an LL4 made room for a relative that he knew would be released from another area by letting a guy in a critical role go in March and then two weeks later his BIL filled the critical slot. The BIL went from LL6 to GSR8 as part of the move, then 6 month later he was an LL6 again. SMH.

I have not heard of any involuntary separations, but they were clear that they were going to happen and was stated several times.
Our raise announcement has not yet come out - hmmmm.
Inflation at 8%.
I assume they are thinking heavily about how well their Bonus announcement went.
All union contracts will goto town next negotiations.
We now know how much less our bonuses are and have been wrt GM.
Two percent is not going to cut it.

You LL5 can dump two useless employees and keep one useful employee. But you yield to the system and make bad decisions to dump useful employees in the past three years. Don't feel bad for others. Look into the mirror first.

I'm that LL5 that called BS, but it's quite possible I haven't been informed of the upcoming SIRP's yet. If true, sorry to hear about it. I really dislike the way we handle this sort of thing. I remember a time when it was almost impossible to get rid of really low performers without going through a long process of putting the person on notice and laying out a set of objectives they needed to achieve. Now we're letting go people who are not necessarily low performers, but salary dumps. Sad.

No B.S. I'm a GSR, no violations and I'm not the only one in my department you got SIRP'd. At least I have my 30+ in the bank.

I call BS. I'm an LL5 and have not heard of any people being SIRP'd. Maybe this person violated a company policy and is a one-off or maybe they're just trying to be a sh*t stirrer. Maybe I'm next and that explains why I haven't heard anything. Joking about the latter (I hope).

SIRP = Salaried Involuntary Reduction Process

Ford has its own "acronyms". Even using industry standard acronyms with a completed different meaning. It is very frustrating for people, but for some reason I cannot fathom, we keep using made up acronyms. Luckily, we have Ford Speak, an internal website with the most used acronyms at Ford.

After some in-depth researching (approx 30 seconds), I still don't understand what this means:
