Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

So far, ignoring my manager has been unthinkable

This is something that managers do not like to hear: the more they force their micromanagement, the greater the resistance to it. I’ve tried to always do everything the way the manager wants me to, but that’s impossible because nothing is ever good enough for him. It is never a good idea to ignore your boss, but sometimes it seems to me that this is the only way to preserve my health while I am still here and until I get another offer.

Every supervisor of other people should be required to take a mental health evaluation. Many of these people were put into management roles and have no clue about how to manage people. Companies don't train them on how to properly lead others. The get into these positions and make the lives of their team members miserable. Productivity declines and good people leave the company.

Ignoring my manager has been easy. I present results, not how I get to them. My manager also forgets about 90% of what he's asked me to do....unless it's a priority for his boss.
