Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

I don't know what people are complaining about

I've never worked less and at the same time I've never been paid more. I love BH!

Not working or working less does not work out for a young employee. The ones who have just started and can do more work as well as learn different things. They can actually do more and also earn more in other companies. Sadly Baker is not for young people these days.

Some of the best advice I got from a manager here, that he got from his time at GE, was to stop showing up/slowly work less and less until they finally decide to lay you off. It took nearly nearly a year for the business to notice.. And at that point he left to become an executive at his buddies company and collected a fat severance check on the way.

I am busy all day cranking out B$ PowerPoints and people are very impressed by all the pretty pics, colors & fonts in my slides.

Never realized until now, how valuable the coloring between the lines skills I acquired in Pre-K would have such a huge payoff. Not sure if that qualifies me as being labeled a "High Pot" @ BKR, or just high on pot🤣

True. Leadership is too busy with themselves that that don’t have time to lead. I do absolutely nothing and have for years. It’s amazing.
