Return to office

Now that covid 19 is winding down and president Biden has said he wants workers to return to office, does anyone think we will go back? Any rumors or any office locations?

People aren’t going back to hudson, they’re selling it

If the buildings aren't sold or exiting leases agreed to by mid 2022 then plan on most of the departments based in such locations returning to the office in at least a hybrid mode. Hudson is cleared out for now but they are planning to return later in the year if building isn't sold. They are not going to pay for the upkeep and security without getting the good out of it with butts in seats and work being done there.

I have heard conversations of at least one field office planning return to work. Getting space ready and desks set up. Only a small percentage of people chose office or hybrid though. Some offices 10% but most much lower.

I do see them trying to get out of as many leases as possible though.

No… they gave us the choice remember?

They aren’t ‘making’ anyone go back

The troops are not going back in. They are done. It doesn’t make financial sense during these times. Gas $5 a gallon soon to be $7. No one can afford a commute on the wages they pay, or on the raise they just eeked out. No, you are going to have to work from home until you are laid off in this country.

Considering they sold the home office and have up leases on a few others, I'm not anticipating them investing in an office space to force everyone back to the office, well not in the US... India on the other hand...
