The problem with Ford

We are an engineering company and yet half the people can't do simple math, 3+5x2 = if you came up with 16 you are the problem.

The LL5+ managers came up with 135 when they solved that math problem.

While I do know the proper order of operations, I really don't consider it to be a valuable skill to test anyone on.

The problem with Ford are the type of a$$hats that type an equation that could be mistaken as indeed simple math but without the algebraic format most wouldn't recognize by your statement. Oh, you're sooo smart. Nope, you're the office as$ ho-e that thinks they're brilliant but you're not. Just a plain a$$ everyone hates.

The correct answer is:

What is your skin color...
What is your gender...

ALL companies around the world are catering to the lowest common denominator, qualified or not. Hiring not the best candidate, but only a person with a heart beat - unless you have a heart issue with Covid myocarditis. Then you are soon to be dead. Sorry, but not really.

F*ck it, let's put them to the test. I challenge ANY corporation to put me in as CEO - whether I'm qualified or not. Do I need to pass a skin color or gender test? Why discriminate against me and your 1000x salary advantage?

First of all, who says Ford is an engineering company? You don’t need to be an engineer to solve the puzzle OP posted, if you work here, just wait until one of the 2% solve it, you being a tricky credit stealer watch him solve it behind his back, do your PowerPoint magic, and take it to the next LL5 meeting, Bingo !

Must be a lot of people getting the wrong answer. I do know I will never have a Ford after buying the piece of SH-T 79 Mustang Cobra. One suspension, transmission and cooling for a motor range of 4 cyl to 8 cyl. Mine was a 302 with 4 speed. Hard braking resulted in the backend passing the frontend on a couple of occasions - very unsafe. Poor cooling and a 4 cylinder first gear.
