Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

I watched a team of 45 people dwindle to 10 people in the last year. The common theme? Mental illness caused by the job.

Over 40% of my team had FMLA and called in a few times a week, most eventually quitting, the theme around everyone's claim is that the job was causing them severe depression, anxiety and other types of mental illness.

I think T-Mobile has a LONG way to go to get back to where they were 4-5 years ago. The job is fertile breeding grounds for severe mental illness.

I was a loyal customer. Now, I switch to V. I boycott the company and the product forever.

I worked at T-Mobile for 7 years, the last 2 years of my life I was noticing that I felt extremely depressed and anxious because of how badly I was being treated by my customers and leadership. My doctor started me on anti-depressants and anti anxiety meds which seemed to make things worse.

I quit T-Mobile about 6 weeks ago and finally feel back to normal, no anti anxiety meds no depression meds, the job in itself was making me sick and feel incredibly down in the dumps. My best recommendation is that if you don't like a job, quit, it can actually cause you major health issues.

Depression due to the job and the job stress, conditions and nitwit executives is not a mental illness? I suppose PTSD (real PTSD, suffered by those in the military) is not a mental illness either? SMH.

This is not a nice post. A job may be difficult but does not cause mental illness. Your comment is insulting to people who have real mental illness and are struggling to have normal lives including those ill who are trying to have successful career at the T-Mobile.

Complaints about management are legitimate but please do not mock mental illness.
