Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Wasted money

Once again this company has managed to waste away money! Wonder how much was spent putting self order kiosk at cafe just to take them out! Just like taking steel down, get rid of it just to turn around and order more to be put back up. Here’s a thought, throw some of that money to the associates instead of throwing it away!!

Wonder what brainy ideas from this year’s meetings in Dallas.

Cards without pictures makes sense. Company wasted so much space (those ribbons are kept indefinitely) and tech tickets on those printers. The pictures are digital. I’m sure one day they will end up on the register.

I wonder where Bentonville got the idea for the self order kiosks?

Cards with no pictures, this is one of the biggest mistakes the company has made. Everyone in my family borrows my card and uses self-check. And doing away with desk associates, id iotically mo ronic.

I agree, this company wastes dollars on changing the membership cards also. First cards w/no pictures and now blue or black cards. Ridiculous.

I mean... Costco blows Sam's away on most angles. I'm surprised Sam's has been around as long as it has. If not for Wal-Mart, it probably wouldn't still be a thing.

Bad leadership=
Bad management =
Bad work environment

  • . . .

Bad leadership also =
Bad decisions=
Wasted money=
Lower raises for employees=
Bad work environment

Anyway you looked at it, upper management is direct result of unhappy employees.

I totally agree they can’t make up their minds. Talk about whip lash sh-t changes daily. Displays one day next take them down. It’s laughable that we have so many different expectations. They’ve lost the focus of what warehouse means. It’s not pretty that the members are looking for it’s member service, which is non existent. We can thank block scheduling and the decrease in hourly associates.
