I believe that those who are just coming here find it especially difficult to get used to and learn how to deal with the toxic atmosphere that CVE is notorious for. This is the first shock that everyone faced here. What's worse, even after almost five years here, I often don't know how to deal with the daily dose of toxicity thrown in my face. How to work here and remain calm and balanced, I guess not everyone can do it?

One of the worst companies I have ever worked for! Super toxic and super demanding. Working with crazy mental managers on a daily basis lead you to mental and health illness. Cenovus and Husky will be investigated one day due to the damage they caused to lots of their employees. Mark my words!

Rest assured it is not the same everywhere.
The toxicity, backstabbing, and backroom deals thankfully do not translate to ALL oil companies
