R&D is now on a $16B run rate. Intel added a monstrous 11K employees (mostly engineers) in 2021 to rebuild the execution machine going forward.

The problem is Intel hires many speakers/talkers.
What does TSMC spend, something in the neighborhood of 4 billion dollars, wow oh wow Intel really doesn’t get much for its RD dollar
more people != better execution
Better processes/methodologies, smarter people and smarter managers = better execution
I doubt those vectors have improved significantly.
Only losers want to work for Intel.
