Thread regarding Follett layoffs

C'mon, lay me off!

There would be nothing better than taking the package and leaving, right?

Yes, please. I think many of us are hoping for the same.

There is no guarantee they will offer anything. New owner's can sweep the place clean if desired.
I have seen it done before.

The new management group just spent a bundle "laying off" the old family.

So, since all is confidential - non disclosed - how much did they pay the family?

If the business was truly losing a 100 million per year, I would think the family would take anything to divest itself of the money pit and all the unpaid bills.

No venture capital group is going to invest in a failing business unless it has a plan to make it profitable or sell off pieces to recoup it's investment.

One thing for sure, we are just speculating because NOBODY is going to be sharing the inside information - unless a disgruntled family member spills their guts.

From what I observed over decades, the family liked to strut...
They will miss that. What happens to the FEF (Follett Educational Foundation)?

Who do you think you work for? The old team wasn't fond of packages. The new management group just spent a bundle "laying off" the old family.
Come on!

JS and JHo finally started answering emails again, anyone else notice that? Probably to impress the new boss. Maybe they will shock us next by speaking to us as if we are humans and not d-mb apes.
